Leander is 26 miles from downtown Austin and if you commute, you’ll contend with toll roads and traffic.

The Leander ISD is a highly rated school district, but Leander property taxes are higher. There has been significant investment in commercial and retail development and public transportation – including the Red Line Commuter Rail.

Some areas of Leander still have a rural feel, but as Leander continues to grow, more of those areas will begin to feel more suburban.
